Art is an important part of life.  It moves, motivates and inspires.  Black artists have had unique role in our culture, not only showcasing talent, but telling the stories of a people in a nation where they are often overlooked and undervalued.  These 15 HBCU alumni artists use(d) their talent to not only engage the viewer, but to celebrate life and influence society.
